Your data, clearly explained

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 16, 2026

Nexus Security Consulting LLC ("Nexus," "we," "us," or "our") provides the PinPic mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use PinPic.

Summary

PinPic is designed to keep your locations, photos, themes, and settings under your control. The app does not contain advertising or third-party analytics, does not track you, and does not sell or rent personal information.

PinPic does not require an account with Nexus. Information you add to PinPic is stored locally in the app's private storage on your device unless you choose to create a backup in your personal iCloud account.

Information PinPic Handles

Location information

With your permission, PinPic uses your device's precise location while the app is in use. PinPic uses this information to determine whether you are within the matching area of a location you saved and to display the photo associated with that location.

Your saved locations are stored in PinPic's private storage on your device. Nexus does not receive your device location or your saved locations.

If you use address search, map search, or reverse-geocoding features, the search terms, map region, or coordinates needed to complete your request are processed through Apple's MapKit and related location services. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's policies.

You can deny or revoke PinPic's location access in your device's Settings. If you do, automatic location matching may not work, but you can still enter or edit a location manually.

Photos, camera, and theme images

When you select a photo or theme image, PinPic uses Apple's system photo picker and imports a private copy of the image you selected. PinPic does not request access to your entire photo library. If you choose to take a new photo, PinPic requests camera access only for that action.

Imported photos and theme images are stored in PinPic's private storage on your device. Nexus does not receive them. You can revoke camera access in your device's Settings.

Face ID and device authentication

PinPic may use Apple's Local Authentication system to protect access to configuration features. PinPic receives only the result of the authentication request. Nexus and PinPic do not receive or store Face ID data, biometric templates, or your device passcode.

App settings

PinPic stores preferences and configuration information locally on your device so the app can remember your settings. Nexus does not receive this information.

Optional iCloud Backup

If you choose Back Up Now, PinPic stores one current backup containing your saved locations, private photo copies, themes, and app settings in the private CloudKit database associated with your personal iCloud account. Using backup is optional, and PinPic does not upload this content unless you initiate a backup.

Apple provides and operates iCloud and CloudKit. Nexus does not receive or have routine access to the contents of your private iCloud backup. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's policies and your agreement with Apple.

Creating a new PinPic backup replaces the previous PinPic backup record. You can manage or remove app data stored in iCloud through the iCloud storage controls provided by Apple. Deleting PinPic from one device may not by itself delete data stored in your iCloud account.

Support Communications

If you contact us by email, we receive the email address, message, and any other information you choose to provide. We use this information only to respond to you, provide support, investigate problems, and improve PinPic.

We retain support communications only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes or as required by law. You may ask us to delete a support communication by emailing pinpicsupport@nexus.net. We may retain limited information when legally required or when reasonably necessary to protect the security and integrity of the app and our services.

TestFlight Beta Testing

If you use a beta version of PinPic through Apple's TestFlight service, Apple automatically collects certain beta-testing information and may share it with Nexus. Depending on how you joined the beta and what you choose to submit, this information may include your name and email address, device and operating-system details, installation and usage information, crash logs, screenshots, comments, and other diagnostic information.

We use TestFlight information only to operate the beta program, investigate problems, provide support, and improve PinPic and related products. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising or tracking, and we do not share it with third parties except as required by law. Apple controls its own collection and retention of TestFlight data. For more information, see TestFlight & Privacy.

You may request deletion of TestFlight feedback available to Nexus by contacting us at pinpicsupport@nexus.net. You may manage data held by Apple through Apple's Data and Privacy service.

Data Sharing

Nexus does not sell, rent, or use your personal information for targeted advertising. PinPic does not include advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking technologies.

Information is processed by Apple only when needed to provide Apple platform services you choose or use, including MapKit, iCloud/CloudKit, the App Store, and TestFlight. We may disclose information if required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.

Data Retention and Deletion

PinPic's local locations, photos, themes, and settings remain on your device until you edit or delete them, erase the app's data, or uninstall the app. PinPic provides controls to delete saved locations and their private photo copies. Device and iCloud backups may preserve copies according to your Apple backup settings.

Because Nexus does not receive or control PinPic's locally stored content or your private iCloud backup, we cannot access, export, correct, or delete that content for you. You control local content through PinPic and your device, and iCloud content through Apple's iCloud controls.

For personal information Nexus does possess—such as support email or TestFlight feedback—you may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your request.

Security

PinPic uses iOS app-container protections and Apple platform services to help protect information. Optional backup data is stored through Apple's private CloudKit database associated with your iCloud account. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children's Privacy

PinPic is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. Nexus does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through PinPic. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through support or TestFlight, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

International Use

Apple may process information for Apple services in locations described in Apple's privacy materials. If you contact Nexus or participate in TestFlight, information made available to Nexus may be processed in the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when PinPic's features or privacy practices change, or when legal requirements change. We will revise the effective date above and make the updated policy available at the same public location. If a change materially affects how PinPic handles personal information, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
